Genelia D’Souza Is Frist John’s GF: The casting of the leading lady opposite John Abraham in the Hindi remake of the Tamil blockbuster Kaakha Kaakha had producer Vipul Shah, director Nishikant (Mumbai Meri Jaan) Kamat and leading man John Abraham climbing collectively up the nearest wall. First it was Asin who had been signed. But then she chose to give away her dates to the Salman Khan starrer Ready directed by Anees Bazmi. Desperate for a heroine, Vipul Shah’s spirits soared when his London Dreams heroine Katrina Kaif was suddenly with free dates after the postponement of Dostana 2. But she chose a Yashraj film with Imran instead.
Matters came to a point where the team was ready to shoot without a heroine in the hope that a suitable match for John will show up next. Luckily Genelia d’Souza has now stepped in to the empty space.

Lately things have not been moving too smoothingly the perky Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Na actress. John and Genelia got to know one another well during the cellphone ad that they did together. It was only a matter of time before a movie materialized.The shooting of the untitled Hindi version of Kaakha Kaakha began on Saturday. Producer Vipul Shah confirmed the last-minute casting of Genelia. “Yes, she’s the girl opposite John. We’re in the process of signing papers even as we speak. ”

Lol;), my fans gave me such a gr8 welcome home @ the airport, even at 2AM! I m humbled," she posted a message on microblogging site Twitter after landing here Thursday morning.

Mallika's brother and producer Vikram Lamba and her singer friend Shweta Pandit had come to pick her up at the airport. The actress keep herself busy by promoting her forthcoming film " HISSS" and will also be shooting for " Dhamaal 2", which stars Sanjay Dutt, Riteish Deshmukh, Javed Jaffrey, Aashish Chaudhary and Aftab Shivdasani.

Deepika Padukone Believe In Dream: Actor Deepika Padukone, who plays a freedom fighter in Ashutosh Gowariker’s ‘Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey’, says playing the spirited character of ‘Kalpana’ was a dream come true. Deepika stars alongside Abhishek Bachchan in Gowariker’s period thriller based on the Chittagong uprising during the freedom struggle. The actress, who started her Bollywood journey with Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Om Shanti Om’, will be seen in a new look in the film.

“It is something so new and unique for me. I am very grateful to Ashutosh who thought I was capable to carry off such a powerful role. It is a dream come true and a very important film of my career,” Deepika, who was in the city to launch a designer footwear store, said.
